Varian Equipment

I have 2 of these in my attic and don't have a clue what they are for. They both appear to be new, but fairly old. I think they have something to do with an x-ray machine, but I'm not positive.

I'd like to list them on ebay, but I'd don't know how much to ask or how to describe them.
