Did sleek craft make a factory v-drive in the late 70's? I am looking at a 20 ft. sleek with a 350 all re-done and runs in the 55-60 mph range, I know I can boost the HP to go faster, I would like to know if a v-drive is better or as good as a jet drive and should I be looking at a jet drive boat? I am not familiar with a v- drive set-up just looking for some input. A 1977 sleek all redone is worth what? Thanks

I know the SST was available in v-drive, and the daycrusiers, don't think they made flat bottoms, and don't think they put them in the v-hulls under 21 ft.

Jetboat takes alot more HP than a v-drive to get the same speed out of both boats.;)
