uncupped to cupped

i have a 60 yammy 2 stroke on an aluminum bss boat with an oem 19 pitch prop. rpms at wot is 5500-5700. as a general rule wouldn't i drop pitch to a 17 if i went with s.s. prop or any prop that is cupped like a hustler?

Generally cupping adds 1" to the effective pitch.
