Hey Guys
Can I plug the line out jack on my amp. into the mic in to my sound card ?

Got some great new software and hate recording to it with a Mic.
picks up too much noise.

Anyone try this yet ?

I'm a jetboater with a studio in my basement...do exactly what you're talking about with my computer all the time....

Anyway, if you look at your sound card, there should be 3 connections: mic, line-in & line out. The line in connection is the one you want, should be stereo 1/8" connector...just like the mic and line out jacks. The mic connector will most likely be WAY to sensitive to connect to the line out of your guitar amp.

As I was offline for a few I found the line in jack to the sound card and knew thats what i needed.
