hello guys im new to all this need some tips on props i have a 16 foot glastron with a xr6 150 turning a tempes 24 pitch want to try a chopper ware do i start on the pitch im turning up 5800 with the prop i have on now would like to turn 6000 or 6100give some tips so i dont bye the wrong prop

ps. what is a et chopper and how is it def. than a reg chopper

Sounds like you need a trophy prop, not a chopper........

Also agree. The Glastron will not like a Chopper nearly as much as a thru hub prop. The Trophy will truly excell no your hull. I'd try a 25p Trophy Plus and start at 2" below the pad. Do you have a jackplate? 6" would be ideal. :cheers:

I'd think he'd be fine with the prop he has now and a little set up. Nothing wrong at all with a Tempest except they bite a little hard out of the hole, sometimes smaller motors have a little trouble spooling up.

:iagree:don't know if you have a jackplate, but if you could raise your motor it would free up your prop out of the hole and give you more rpm and speed

hi im also new to this i have a glastron 16cvs 500 metric im going to put a 1989 140hp looper on i dont have any props yet please keep me posted on how you make out thanks alot

yes it will...............can you do something for me i want to add a pad on my boat can you take a pic of your boat [pad] and get a with & lenth on your pad that way i have a starting point tks
