what is the benefit of a of shore mid ver a reg mid other than the noise

:iagree: They look cool and are louder than stock but that can easily be taken care of with a little relieving & work.

If I read you right you can reduce their weight and make them quieter as well -my new LAKE motor will have one - an OLD GUY I know told me you could install a baffle plate? Can they be made less noisy?

The offshore snout opening is already drilled and tapped for a block off plate. I had a local machine shop make a 1/4" solid plate for when I have the family in the boat. Much quieter, I love it.

Thanks mike ,good to know, wondering what engine you are using and if there is a noticeable difference in power -I am assuming mostly at WOT? Any real disadvantage to holeshot or midrange?
