So there's an amusement park that closed down not too far from where I live. They are auctioning off whatever is left in the park in a couple weeks. I'm thinking if I can pick up one of these, get plates for it, and drive it on the street it'd be one really cool car show kinda ride.
Anyone have any guesses on what one of these might go for at auction? I have no clue...

Yeah... but someone has already done that --

These are just big go-karts really, wouldn't take much to get it up to speed for street traffic.

If they're electric maybe the obomination will help pay for it.

Ha, naw I'd guess 5HP Briggs - I remember riding them when I was a kid, they were governed so they topped out at 10mph or so. They rode on a metal rail that went around the park with little inner wheels that kept them on the rail.

Hey, that would still be cool to poke around the neighborhood on. Get more looks than a golf cart. :) I wonder who made them? Too bad the park is going out.

Yeah, they're taking down the amusement park after 80 years in operation. In its place they are building a Costco.
I don't know anything about these "cars" - the Six Flags Great America had (maybe still has) the same or similar ones. If I can pick one up for $3k I'd probably grab a couple... I have no idea what they are worth - don't know if anyone has any guesses? I'd like to go to the auction but don't want to waste a day if they're going to sell for $10k or something (I can just go buy a nice real Model A for that.)

I've always thought it'd be a blast to make a Legends car street legal.

Good luck, if you go for one of the cars.

Yup, Kiddieland --- I think everyone is going to want the trains they had.
I've searched online and can't seem to come up with any kinda price for one of those cars...

Looks like this outfit brokers amusement park rides, might be worth it to contact them for a ballpark number.

Humm... well they are having a "preview inspection" the day before the auction. I figure I'll go to that and get some rough idea on what they're thinking of doing - I'm hoping they're selling the cars individually and not as a set. From the paperwork I've read it seems like they will.
I don't even know what they're called or who made them or anything - we'll see...

Intimidate the other bidders by attending the auction correctly attired from the era of the "horseless carriage".
They will think your bat**** crazy.
