What would the compression be with 300x heads?
can you run 93?

Probably pushing the edge since the 300X heads are 61CC. I know someone who has a Pro XB 250 EFI that has cut heads to 61 and 59 CC. He does not have problems, but his motor has more mods than just a stock 250 XB and surely not a stock 225. I had considered the same option with my XB 250 and opinions varied as to whether the limit of using 93 octane is safe. JMHO though. If you have access to the heads and are adventurous, try it and report back to us. :) I surely would be interested in the results.

On another site, I was told that they will only bolt up to 2002 or newer 3.0L blocks. I can not personally verify the information. Hopefully someone else will add more information. All is not lost though since there are many options to improving the performance of a stock 225. All it takes is $$$$. Good luck.
