Vector Pat,
For reference, last year I tried a 29" SRX and saw 83mph gps at around 6200 rpm on my Vector with 1981 225 Merc. Prop handled pretty well. I have never had any luck for more speed with a 24-26" prop. My motor just seems to hit a wall around 6400rpm and will not go past. Don't know why as there isn't a rev limiter on it. Thankfully I can spin a 28" - 30" Chopper at 6200-6400 to get me over 80mph. My favourite prop is my 28" Mazco RE-4: 80mph, very little steering torque and carries a load great!

I will have a big ear 26" and 2 cut 26" choppers. Also I will have a 28'' RE-4 , A 28" R-3, and a couple larger. Most can be bought. The one Skip is using wont be for sale until Sunday PM.

Don't know how to post a link, but go to the East Lake thread (page 6), and you can see a picture of John's Stream.
