Did all that and everything from the Bore, Stroke, Induction System, alt/charging & 2 stage DFI and RPM range is the same. Anyone?

Probably solid vs rubber motor mounts and rev limit

I have a 2006 225 Pro XS, it is a great running motor although it is a bit heavy. I wish it had solid mounts.

Lower unit, warranty, motor mounts and decals. Everything else is the same including rev limiter.

So with the current rebate available on the Pro and not the Sport, they are close to the same cost. That said, you give up 3 years of warranty for a Sport Masted lower... or after the rebate expires, you pay about $1,000 more for the Pro with the 5 year warranty plan (or +3 over the Sport) and a stock lower.

Buddy do yourself a Favor and Call Mercury Marine, heres why, everyone says something different when it comes to a Pro XS Vs a XS Racing motor, Wildman is the pro, but I know usually on production boats the XSs will be a hair more powerful, they are 100% hand made and the real thing, if using it on a fishing boat pro xs, if using it on a Performance boat that needs a sporty then XS, but Call Merc and Merc Racing and ask them what both dyno horsepower and torque output, it will answer your question the best I think. Called Mercury Racing & other than the decals & lower, the Sport has solid mounts and a different "computer program". Not much was shared on the difference in programing. Anyone?

All I can say is I took a pro xs and installed a 1.62:1 SM and solid mounts, installed it on a 21' Allison BasSport Pro and it ran the exact same speed as a 225 Sport xs.
The PCM on a Pro xs (computer) is the same part number and has racing written on it just as the xs PCM does.

If Mercury Racing says the ECMs are mapped different I wouldn’t doubt them. While the part #s may be the same the fuel mapping is indexed by the Bar Code on the ECM.
