If I run an over the hub style cleaver on my Nordic with a Bravo one outdrive? All my exhaust goes through the transom. I know you usually have to run the lower unit up high with these props because of all the bite, my lower unit is 1 inch shorter than regular Bravo's. I currently have a Turbo with an aggressive rake that does a good job. I want to try something to get 3-4 more mph top end.

Bravo I all the way. You can try an OH Clever but my guess is you won't like it at all. The Clever is meant to be run in a surface piercing condition. Even with a raised X dimension your Bravo is still buried. I think the Clever will struggle to lift at all.

The Bravo I was designed for your application. It will be a ton better than the Turbo as it has more rake and blade area. Another option would be a Hydromotive Quad IV. They have excellent lift and are very effecient like the Bravo. Some may disagree but I'd not spend any money on an OH prop. Try and borrow one.

A mercury maximas would be the best bet.

Ok thanks for the replies! I can't really borrow one, no one I know has one! Two more questions, how about a over hub chopper? I have access to one of those . I guess I'll have to talk this guy into letting me "demo" some props. Heck, he only wants $125 for the chopper and it's in nice shape. My boat is 24' with a cabin in the front with a 7.4L and I am getting 67-68 mph on top with good take off, maybe I am asking too much for 3-4 mph more. The only person I know that has a chopper is my Dad and his are 26 and 28 pitch which is wayyy to much for my boat.

You won't even get out of the hole with the chopper. Look for a Bravo I. A Maximus would be cool but very pricey! You can find a used Bravo here on S&F for less than $400.

I found a Bravo one new for $435 from someone on here. I wonder if I could pull a 22 Bravo or would I need a 21, I want to see some kind of performance gain and I can pull skiers easily with the 22 Turbo 3 blade now.
