Mercury 225bhp -95 w/ carb

hi all,

I have just bought myself a boat with an old Mercury 225bhp -95 w/ carb and wonder if there are any typical problems etc on these engines? Anything specific I shall check/watch out for?

Or is there anything specific I should mod or otherwise change to make life better ;) ?

Any info appreciated!

Had a few issues with the coils(CDM's) on mine, may want to switch to the newer style if they havent already been changed out, other than that not much problems.

Thx rchevelle71 (http://forums.screamandfly.com/forums/member.php?u=8048) funnily I just swapped one of them now when I had it in for service (/conservation, as Swedish winters are a bit harsh ;)

I noticed that the middle ones (both left and right) looks different from the top and bottom coils Anyone know if this is by design or if maybe due to newer models? Cant see that there are different ones to order. (Will try to get a pic later when I am out around it again) ....
