We have only had one group of trick or treaters all night. We usually aren't home since our Church has a Fall Festival as an alternative with free rides, music, food and games. We had it last night [Friday] instead of Halloween [Saturday] since it takes a lot of work afterward to be ready for church on Sunday. We had 3-4K people last night there.

If you stand in the yard with a hockey mask and a live gas chain saw, it will actually attract children.

The fact that you would suggest this scares me, but it does dovetail nicely with your warped views of the world.

atleast ya got the halloween spirit.(pyro). the neighborhoods by me kinda sucked this year ,only like every ,3rd or 4th house was giving out candy.. that crap dident happen when i was a kid... i mean it was (trick or "treat") right...lol (i was never a part in them shananigans  ) but i heard story's. ;)

If you dress up with blood and gore, they think you've got a haunted house with free candy. There's a guy in my neighborhood who goes off the deep end every year, light-up demons crawling on the roof, hand-made full-size latex goblins with moving limbs, etc.
wtf?

Live chain saw? You don't see a problem? If you were wielding a live chainsaw in my neighborhood, and some of my neighbors brought their kids by you would probably have gotten shot.

Last night here halloween became a war zone. They held the annual Grove halloween bash and it went nuts. We live around 3-4 blocks from the event and it was unreal. Cars beer bottles and trash from one end of our property to the other. I sat on the front porch and watched. Cops on horses ambulances and helicopters all night. How can this be a fun event when it gets violent and adults trash the neighborhood. There had to be close to few hundred cops & fights. I thought this was for kids (not)Where we used to live in No Va it became dangerous for the kids for all the untreats kids were given. Times a changing and I guess im sort of glad my kids are all grownup. Rick

all the kids mostly had parents walking with them, and the "power moms" had golf carts w/utility trailers loaded w/as many kids would fit complete w/lights allover :D golfcarts are the new party accessory around here and everybody was out buzzin around. Rick, if your 3-4 blocks outta the grove I can imagine, the grove is a mecca for events, your fortunate to live that close, to bike and walk in some of the most lush tropical foliage nature has to offer   out

Went through the kids candy last night (I took them out) and found a Salisbury House donut, A Presidents Choice hot chocolate package, four juice boxes, a sparkler and a can of Coke? Easily 2/3'rds of the candy given out was miniature chip bags.

Wish I knew which house gave out the donut, I would have given it back...in the houses car fuel filler neck.

Honestly, a donut? Juice boxes? This stuff just gets tossed, too easy to inject something in those items...at least no apples this year.

We had about 250 kids this year. We live across the river from a poor neighbourhood so those kids have better luck trick or treating on this side. They all seemed very thankful for the most part.

We went to a house party down the street after we ran out, dressed as Hall and Oates. We won best couple!!

I live in the ghetto, No kids are stupid enough to trick or treat in my neighborhood. However, I did attend a halloween party in a neighborhood full of young families with little kids. We gave out candy while playing beer-pong in the garage. I had a hard time guessing what the kids were dressed up as though. Aparently Luke Skywalker isn't a popular choice today.
