I've been running my brand new 280 Consumer (30 hrs now) on BP 93 (marked "up to 10% ethanol") with 1oz per 10 gallons Stabil Marine Formula.

Should I be using Quickleen instead or possibly in addition to Stabil??

Just want to do what's best, especially with all the horror stories of crap gas.

I run sea foam in every tank with my 2.4L and 2.5L motors. One ounce to every 5 or 6 gallons.

Sea Foam and Quickleen do the same things, not sure if they are chemically the same though. Keeps injectors clean, carbon down, ect.

About 2 hrs away. Actually boat there probably 2 times/yr. Let me know station and I'll make sure to fill up there. Thanks!

Thanks. I've seen some posts from Jay that he also likes Sea Foam.

Is it advantageous to run mixed with a stabilizer such as Stabil. Just curious if Sea Foam or Quickleen also stabilize the gas or if there are any advantages/disadvantages of running both together.

Most of these "additives" are solvents and that's why they do a good job of removing carbon deposits.....but be careful...they can also wash away lubrication. So I would not mix them together or use them in a more concentrated dose than recommended.

Does 4aces (TK 7 ) not have the same properties for cleaning injectors, fuel system etc plus the advantage of boosting octane #.

Makes sense. That's one of the reasons I was just using Stabil in the recommended dose and was concerened about adding anything additional. Stabil Marine contains fuel injection cleaners and also stabilizes ethanol fuel.

Guess a question for anyone is does Quickleen or Seafoam also stabilize gas??????

If they don't, maybe I'm best sticking with just Stabil in recommended dose.

According to the can, Seafoam stabilizes gas. I use it in my home generator and the gas in it is two years old. It fired up last week on the first revolution.

I have been using Startron as a stabilizer AND cleaner for a number of years now and it has worked for me and my customers.

Thanks for all the advice.

I'll run Sea Foam just as Jay instructed. Glad to hear it states on the can it also works as a stabilizer.

Again, appreciate the input!
