With a carb'd front half running Mad EFI fuel injection. Has shown tons of potential but have not had the time or money to devote on it.
Spanky (jenksam on here) has one w/a E-Tec front half w/a slide intake also w/Mad EFI that runs very, very good.
I heard there was a carrbureted version at Jasper this yr but know nothing about it.
Most of us run Montys Wiseco pistons which allows you to run the 3.0 rod which is different from the 3.3 rod.
I do know of atleast one guy that is running the 3.3 rods with modified OEM 3.3 pistons.
You cannot run the 3.3 heads though as the injectors are mounted in the combustion chambers.

You can either weld up & machine the E-Tec heads and use the stock pistons, or cut the domes and use a set of modified 3.0 heads. I've got both, and a set of billet heads that will take up to a 4" bore. It also has an X front half on it, but is getting a PCU to run an F1 injection system.
Depending on how hard you are going to turn it the stock later E-Tec rods are fine. Same with the pistons. What are you trying to do with it?

spank ran a carbed 3.3 before he got the slide. It was pretty impressive even with little mid bores on it... Thats what im gonna run, at least till i get the dough for EFI :rolleyes:

THANKS FOR THE:thumbsup::thumbsup:
I DO HAVE BOTH ONE FOR CARBS AND ONE FOR EFI THEY BOTH SO FAR HAVE BEEN VERY DEPENDABLE. I USE GORDON'S PISTONS AND HAVE DONE SOME LESS THAN PERTTY PORTING BUT THEY BOTH RUN VERY WELL. HERE IS A COUPLE OF PICS.

used the carb front half.....big bore carbs......even used the Etec pistons......just make sure u chamfer the outer edge of the bowl......took 3 liter heads and cut them , then machined the 3.3 combustion chamber in them.......they were 56 cc and that gave about 155 psi comp........i ran the old 2 pack ignition with no rev limiters and a flex wheel........we had to lean the carbs pretty good to stop the 4 cylclin at above 7200 rpm........i would not run across the lake the way we had it set up.......it would spin 7800 in the 800 ft blarney course........I won a few with it........and nothin ever broke...:D

155 was with 62 cc heads........got to about 180 with the 56 cc heads..........we did run a motor with ** degree port hieght.........which ended up bein tested as an actual E-tec............we self destructed that one cuz of.... um lets see......human error.......... If i was to build a lake motor id go with about 140 psi.......its pretty safe there.........we ran the Etecs at about that on premium fuel...........
