is the 240 sport jet efi system the same as the merc efi? fuel pump assembly, injectors,pressure regulator. and will the computer work the same? any info needed thanks guys!

Not 100% sure,but I believe the 240 jett system is the same as the 225 pro-max,chris

i think you are right but dont want to kill my block because of a computer problem or something in a fuel system, pressure or something silly with a injector!

ECU may be a little different cause of tha "load and unload" ya have with tha pump. Donno for sure..........

I was going to use the XRI off of a 2001 240 SJ on my project untill I was told the ECU is limited to 6200~6300 by repair, But in the manual it tells you how to test the rev limiter and says 7000 +/- 100 rpms it will retard the timing on cylinder #2 to a max of 30*. Sticker on block says WOT is 6200. They have had a lot of work done to the block for enhancements. They make alot of power at low RPM's. What I saw in difference is "O" ring heads, CDM's, and porting (real close to a 200 not 225. I have a 2001 200 with "O" ring heads and they ported almost the same .010 on exhaust and .005 on intake different. Take away .044 for "O" heads and they are both with standard gasket 2.5 200 porting +/- .010). It is ported low to keep it from having to turn alot of RPM's and keeping the power band low. I see it compared to the 225 alot, only similarity that I see is the "7" pedal front but with 5 pedal rubber coated reeds. Injection system is the same as the XRI with the exception of the TPI connector is flat instead of round. I have only seen it on CDM systems. I have a 2 factory manuals in PDF for it, if you send me your email, I can send it over to you. If you want it......Just need you to tell me what cover you need. The 2002-up uses a ECM and the 2001-back uses a ECU with XRI.

BTW do you know Matt Whitlock and Malcolm???
