which motor is the all arould better 65 hp, the 4 cylinder or the 3 cylinder.

The 3-cyls were piston eaters.

My dad had a 1969 650 4 cyl. Best engine he ever owned. I never saw a 65 h.p. motor idle so smooth and start so easy.

I worked on many of the 3 cyl versions. How much do you need to know about a 3 cyl motor with two carburetors?? :(

I heard they were mercs worst motor but never had anything to do with them. I know a friend of mine had one burn the middle cylinder and the dealer blamed his 50 to one fuel mix which the dealer told him to use 40 to one when he got it.
