Want gel decks...should I spray or roll on?

Just pulled the carpet out and in the process of removing all the glue. I was curious on about what some of you guys your decks. Do I need to spray to get inside of the recess on the deck lids? If it wasn't for the recessed trays where the lids sit on I would just roll it on. Thanks for any suggestions.

I am sure some expert's will chime in soon.but you should have asked this in the fiberglass and composite section for a more rapid answer!I would spray useing a pressure pot unless you are going total coarse non-skid. And I would still spray anyway. Hope this help's. Mike

depends on the finish you want.rollin it you get a finish kinda like what you see on a wall,spray it it will be smooth, also spraying may take a few more coats or you`ll get some hangers on the vertical spots.
