I've been patiently waiting to start using my new user name. It's all over now, except the crying for the competition.

US1 is my number and National Champion is my name. The only thing left for the taking is the APR championship and someone can try to break my 5 lap/5 mile record in Lakeland later this month.

Hope to see some new faces next year in Supersport, Mike

That's great!!

If you guys ever head out WEST, let me know...

I had heard the rumblings from RACER and some of the others, haven't heard anything else....

I do have an ol EX-MODVP Sleekcraft that could use a green motor and start racing again....

later,
sid

The one builder that supports a racing program isn't winning. Sounds like a success.

Thanks Action 17
Liqui-fly, The class is growing great. We are up to 16 or 17 racers in the class. The competition is great.
I am fortunate to have the set-up dialed in.
Every month we add a new driver and boat it seems like.
I think the Mercury's are fine in this class, Jack Barsh and Jeff Pira both run Mercs and both have quite a few wins between them. Steve Quick also runs a Merc and his STV runs very good.
I prefer the Evinrude but I've been beat by the Merc's. (once or twice) I welcome all the Merc's you can get.

p.s. I asked Mercury about a motor deal in the beginning, seems like it would have been a benefit in hind sight.

David, Donnie McDowell has his race boat for sale it is a Predator capsule boat. It is the Orange boat with Checkered center capsule it is on the APBA website and on Sam Bakers SS site. He wants $3500 for the boat on a trailer ( all you would need is the rigging, hotfoot, steering etc).

Is that one of those slow Mirage wanna be boats? Is he getting another Predator? Oh wait I guess I said the boat doesn't matter. Price is right.

Actually it is a 1985 Lee/Mirage hull with a 2000/2001 model year Predator capsule deck. Noah put it back in the molds he has and put in new stringers and bulkheads. Donnie owns a nice Vision Craft also.

Joe Becker was racing a Mirage capsule boat last year. It ran very good. I think he was second at the nationals in 2000 in the exibition year. It was Mercury powered.

The Vision is not for sale at this time. Danny McManus is racing it right now and has been for the majority of the season. Maybe in the future but not until Danny doesn't need it anymore.

I'm considering a few boats...the Vision I would seriously consider. I'm would not race until 2004 or maybe 2005 but am looking for a sweet boat/deal.

You need to get the best from jump street.A T-1 Quartershot then with your superior driving you can just lap the field.
Jack takes payments, one when you order and the other when it's done, thats all it takes to be US1.

Congrats Cocky,But it ain't braggin if ya say it and ya back it up!

Yeah I'll buy a new boat from Jack so I'll have to be restrained after these hacks put a hole in one of my sponsons hehe. No thanks I think an old beater Vision Craft will be my ticket to the top of the podium.

:D

I'll keep the newly crowned champ in my viewfinder at Lakeland.

I heard a rumor that Jeff was planning on wearing it after 2003??

Huh?? You talking to me???

Again great season!

Liqui-fly, I went 2 years with basically no damage. The first damage that I have taken was at the Nationals, from my team mate (go figure). You can race this class with little damage, with a little skill and a lot of luck. Now if you start to irritate someone, damage may follow. That's the fun part, this is the only class that you can bump and bang and not sink. I let you know when the Vision is for sale. Mike

With the growth and popularity of the SuperSport class it's a great time for someone to contact Hydro-Prop and get on their schedule for the 2003 F-1 shoot out at Cypress Gardens.

It's a great venue.

By the way don't forget to come to Cypress Oct 5 & 6 for the F-1s and the Bud Unlimited exhibition.

Godfather, rest assured there is plenty in the works for the SS guys.
We will be in Chattahoochee on Oct. 5 & 6 racing with APR for the Southeast Divisionals, and Sept. 28 & 29 in Lakeland running for my record.
Supersport is a great place to be and I think it is about to be even better. Stay tuned I'll break any new news here first.

Hey Mike, when are you and your brother Steve gonna finish that super trick stereo setup we've been talkin' about? It's a safe bet that boat racing hasn't ever had a national championship winning boat with an awesome sound system thumpin' as it runs around the race course...:D :D
