exhaust leak

I have a water leaking from my exhaust gasket an need to replace it but was wondering what is the differnce between the base gasket part # 269317 and the exhaust plate gasket part # 677 from pro marine, can i use anyone of these, the motor is a 2.5 mercury 200

most all the 2.5 s are the same in gaskets,check with a dealer that will be the easiest way 2 be correct.

Ther are diffrent gaskets for a v-6, so make damm sure U git the rite one...If not, U will have heet problems that will drive ya nutz...Match tha new gasket to the old one, or to tha adaptor plate...don't take it for granite that they gave U the rite one!!!...Most parts guyz are nutt'in more than computer people, not parts people...That adaptor gasket haz to be tha rite one.....Az for tha base gasket, tha only doffernce iz tha exhaust openings...tha 2liter iz larger than tha 200/150's 2.5s...juss make sure tha exhaust holes are the same, and ya in bussiness!!:thumbsup:
