Different ecu's

I have a 150 promax 2.5 litre it is all stock right now i beleive it has a a19 ecu on it i plan to hop it up down the road by doing some heads reeds and maybe light ignition system, I am going to run it on a 15in offshore mid with a diamond tuner and i know it is going to get into the rev limiter very easy so i found a 225 promax ecu that has the limiter raised to 8000. what i was wondering was has anyone tried running the 225 box on a 150 i beleive it will run rich till you get up into the higher rpm but then it might run good and save the motor just trying sum things want to see what my stv will run with a stock ported 150 promax powerhead. And yes i have removed the oil injection thanks Guys any in put would be good i am not that familier with the promax style box's thanks Dave:cheers: P.S. I also have a stock 2.5 175 efi box does anyone think that would be better than the 225 box i have changed from a 2.5 150 fishing motor box to a 200 fishing motor box before and the guy said it picked up 3mph but used more fuel.

I know a 200 fish'in XRI box will run better on a PM 225 than tha stock 225 PM box!!.....

IMO a 150 PM iz nutt'in more than a XR6 witout paint!!...Had a bud wit a 150 PM which wuz replaced wit a XR6(PM exspired!!) tha XR6 wuz faster than tha PM on tha same bote(Bullet normal layup)

if you are looking for top end only try and find an A 18 mod VP box, it has an adjustable fuel knob on the back, I used to have 2 of them, they ran good on 225 Pro-Maxs, the only problem is a bad lean spot in the mid range

DaveHe has ran 108 so far so thats very respectable for a non ported 150 but we all no that xr6 150 is more like a 200 carb block anyway so we will see what a 93 150supermag can do. hopefully 108.5 just enough to spank him thats all that matters. I ran 113 with a stock 200 carb motor with 150lbs compression and reeds and lite flywheel so he better pick up the speed if this supermag runs like a 200 carb motor,either way iz cummin fer ya azz.

last winter with the voltage regulaters unplugged some 26 cc heads and a 26 p prop we figured mine wuz turnin round 77-7800 little over 89 mph so i dont think i want to play wit yalls 150's or my hooker boat is just slow

last winter with the voltage regulaters unplugged some 26 cc heads and a 26 p prop we figured mine wuz turnin round 77-7800 little over 89 mph so i dont think i want to play wit yalls 150's or my hooker boat is just slowWe are running alot bigger props trying to keep the rpm down some where the motor will make power a stock port 150 won;t make any power up that high on rpm i run a 34 on mine to keep the rpm around 7100to7300 and runs alot faster than slighing a little prop way up there. Doesn't have any mid range acceleration but climbs up the speed fairly well. Dave:cheers:
