There are a few people who wondered whatever happened to the GW Invader molds. Looks like the 10' ones have turned up in Florida and are for sale (I'm not sure if they are the originals. I did hear awhile back that someone made copies and was trying to sell them...could be those):

Look almost to the very bottom of the page.

Woodco, sometime we need to get together. I'm located just east of Rochester, not far from you.

P.S. I've seen this hull with up to 90 HP on it. With 50HP they're pretty fast. I've never seen one with a Stinger, 650xs or similar...that would be interesting.

i have one of these with a 50 Hp merc (1969) and with 6 gal of gas, 3 skis, an anchor, and my 160 lb body it'll do an easy 35. the only thing i like more than the speed is that u can fell the hull flex as u go over waves and turn. and for being over 30 yrs old it is in incredibly good shape with only a few cracks in the transom

I didn't know you where that close ........ Definately have to get
together and rip some water up !!!!!

I think the GW would rip wit a lil Stinger on the back

Those weren't a padded hull where they ??????

If not thats easy ;)

yes woodco this boat does have a pad on it but the corners aren't too sharp(whats the best way to solve this?)

I had one in the late 70's with a 40 Merc on it. It would run 45 mph. I custom painted it. As I remember, it had a very flat bottom. With 2 people and the 6 gal tank, you could barely put a 12 pack cooler in it. I always loved that little boat!

What made them stop production ???? They where really
popular too !!!!

I'm suprised that they had a padded hull .....

WierdKid .......

I'd have to see what the bottom looks like before giving any
suggestions .......

Wildman might be able to help out on this one ....

Hulls and larger ones too that would run into the 50's with modest power, nice ride pad bottom, didn't hold up to well though.

Owned a 15' tunnel would run around 53 with a 100hp merc I got it from the east coast dist. The hull was going back to the factory for bottom delam. the original owner had a pair of bp 125 's on it with speedmasters was suposed to rou around 117 mph ??. here's a pic with a old girlfreind in it.

baddjonny.

ps the boat was too long and would nosedive thru steep waves if u slowed down at the wrong time.
