trying to find out if there is any way to put a 90hp powerhead on a 70hp housing, i checked out both gaskets and they are not close to the same, any good tips or info would be appreciated.

The gear ratio is better in the 90 anyway.

I assume the goal is the 15" mid.
I've seen a hot 90 yammi with the 55 hp mid and lu. You gain a significantly slimmer lu and 15" mid with this set up. I don't have a clue what needs to be done. Here's a pic of the nasty thing.
