Yep fishing is good. I picked it back up after 10 years, to busy running a bis.
But I'm back and it's great. How big and deep is lake Sunapee? We fished lake Michigan. Trolled for trout and salmon, had a blast. I know why you would like trolling, specially when the big one hits.

Sunapee is about 9 miles long and deepest point is 110. map says deeper but not so. I average fishing in about 80'. Nothing better than being out on the water in the early morning. Like the whole lake is yours

Sounds like a really nice lake.
We have a boat moored on the Ill. river through the summer. I'm a early riser
like you, I love the water early in the morning, calm and peaceful.

Good tune "fishing in the dark", the other one is hilarious, I'm gonna miss her.

I remember..a LONG time ago, me, and my friend..(the one killed in Nam)..just kids..50's year,, some river, back Illinois. He taught us how to fish. Hunk of bread, wadded up, a hook, lay the bottom, and bobber. Probably just catching carp, but gave us the thrill of catching something!
Salmon here are running back to spawning grounds now...all the inlets to the fresh water creeks are fulla dudes...hooks in....(had a good 40/50 pound Silver on the hook, out in the boat a month back...we can't use "barbs"..hook..sucker got away..he was a real FIGHTER!

Especially Lake Sunapee, there is nothing more beautiful, it is like being on the top of the world...here is a pic that a friend of mine took, his name is Art and he owns Davis Cabins on the lake....

I see your a sledder by your avitar. Nice looking machine. What make and year is it? Last one I had was a 99 Ski doo 540 liquid.

Can't beat catching 5 pound or better carp on doe ball, they hit it like a freight train. 40 pounder, man I'd love it. Let the fight begin. Best I did was a 20 pound Chinook salmon on lake Michigan.

NO GOOD..my flatty dragboat..would have me beaching it in the hills on a good "hold on punch!"..I need room! Nine miles close up FAST! Couple pix, my "dogs boat'..old Force 125, 88, 20 bargeliner..only probs were a snapped driveshaft..(salt go to the upper'".. new up graded ING..Stator, packs..freaking workhorse. Bought 15 years ago, when first moved here.
I got a THOUSANDS of pix more, on a Yahoo group. Ya need to get a (free), Yahoo account...not an email thing, just need to get into the "groups".
When in..(any prob, lemeno)..just go search "groups"..
Mine is oldfastboats ya really need to check it out. Besides the many "oldfastboats", many more pix there..where I live. Anything posted "Robby"..or "my old"..is me. Check it out.
We need a new thread.."Show us pix, yer water playground".
DAMN...I LOVE LIVING WATER!..block away my 26 foot slip, and the boat launch..(private HOA..I have zero plates or lights any trailer)..and a BILLION bunch of water, right outside my front door! Just wish it wasn't..SALT WATER!.."can't have it all!"

Good for you!!! One Mans day is another Mans knight. I work seasonal, March to December,up at 4:30 am, in bed by 9:30 Mid December thru February, I'm up all hours of the knight.

Hey Denny. Been gone Illinois 15 years. Went back 3 years ago, big HS picnic. Did a 26 day road trip. Got into Morris about 4 on a Friday. Bought gas. Heading to Downers Grove.
MAN, has there been building going on! Took me 3 hours to get to Downers! Should have brought a deck of cards, so us sitting still in traffic (355 construction, heading south with the road)..had something to do! But worth it, to get back to the great FOOD!

Great tunes Guys!!!! except the excorsist...AFR I hated that movie it scared the heck out of me too, whenever it is on I have to change the channel like instantly.......

Try it STONED! I went with a bunch of crazy potheads back when first came out. Swear I had my eyes closed the whole time. I never was a scary movie type, and had no idea what I was stumbling into!

Hey Denny. Been gone Illinois 15 years. Went back 3 years ago, big HS picnic. Did a 26 day road trip. Got into Morris about 4 on a Friday. Bought gas. Heading to Downers Grove.
MAN, has there been building going on! Took me 3 hours to get to Downers! Should have brought a deck of cards, so us sitting still in traffic (355 construction, heading south with the road)..had something to do! But worth it, to get back to the great FOOD!

Being a road builder, I've seen alot of the infra structure increase. It was going completely crazy till mid 07.
I took my wife to Midway airport this morning, I 55 all the way in was stacked. Mostly 30 to 40 mph. some slower, 355 north was chocked full and stopped at 5:30 in the morning.
Can't wait to sell the biz. and get out of here. Going to Georgia- So. Carolina border in the foot hills somewhere. Then like you, I'll come back for a visit.

OMG! I started getting high speed internet! Verizon bought out Alltel here and as of last night my internet signal which comes through my cell phone via usb is fast enough to view your posts. It would take half an hour to load one before now I can watch it in real time. I'm so glad I can listen to these songs now. Got a lot of catching up to do,better get started. Does anybody know why?

Ya have to never plan anything, what to do next! JUST DO THE DAMN .."THINGS TO DO"..note pad.."list". I got'em everywhere..house, shop, food..(stock up..I go deal with the masses in town once a week..if they delivered to me rural, pizza, beer, and gas...I could eliminate the ride!)
The only thing ya GOT to do next...is simply write it down. If it aint leaking, sinking, on fire, or over flowing.."whats the rush?"..just write it down, "the list"
If it didn't need doing yesterday, and no rush at the moment, it can last until tomorrow.
And if still on the list a month later?....scratch it off..wait until it breaks!
And I gotta tell ya, when ya do retire...(I'm one lucky SOB, out the rat race at 44..be 60 in June)...when I knew I was getting the pension, moving West Coast..I had a ZILLION THINGS ..to do next in life. Grand dreams. But ya know what ? NONE CAME TO BE "THE WAY".
After doing the move, "life kinda took over'. I adapted to what is, not what I want. It took 2 years, ..(and I tell this to anyone heading to the promised land.. "retired, don't give a F^&k anymore, the worlds BS"
If ya move, simply set up a homestead. Shut up, sit down, sleep late, start letting yer body tell YOU, what to do next. AND WAIT. Trust me, the world of no alarm clocks, is SOOOOOO, different. Soon, what you REALLY want to do, will surface. Plus the new location. NEVER go in with an attitude. Yer old ways, aint the same as the entrenched, years there. NOBODY likes someone new, invading there space.
The internet has much too offer, somewhere else, and there ways. "When in Rome..thing"
I left the burbs, Chitown..( mostly there with drive by shootings going down), if ya raised an arm...a wave..they shot back.
Where I live now? We all, wave at each other.."how ya doing?"..thing.
Funny, as when I moved here, a private HOA, end peninsula, I brought 3 Harleys. NO ONE owned one here. I thought I was cool, straight pipes, the Chopper Shovelhead.
HA!...as we have zero road noise, so damn quiet, I found out my ears DO RING...and realized I was pissing off those, who like it quiet. Many more since have bought loud Harleys, and I swear, I can hear them go back up the road, and hear them for 5 stinkin MILES! I'm a good 20 miles from Olympia..(capital, WA)..as the crow flys. One day, I was sick, and didn't make the annual "Toy Run". Believe it or not...(its mostly water, back there)..there was no wind. I hear this massive rumble...noonish. It was the toy run, and the pipes were aimed at me, as they went up the hill, to the Cap, to drop off the toys.
Ramblin here, but just more or less want to say...anywhere ya ever move, go in quiet, wave at all, NEVER say what YOU want to do, just say.."nice place..I'm thinking of moving here". Keep it simple. Don't push yer agenda, as the first impression, is very lasting.
AND..Denny..if ya move where ya want to, in retire..remember..it aint.. "oil".. anymore..
Its "earl"..know many that way!
Sorry the ramble...but thats all I do..(nickname is..what else.."Jawbone"..)....many friends, bring over noobs, my home shop.. they say.."does he EVER SHUTUP?"..nope, but I know what the hell I'm doing..(at least its on the "list")!

PS..still think CCR, da'best!. And remember a month long bike road trip, in Kansas, took 3 days to get down old truck route, 36, and get out, and into Colorado. So damn hot/humid days, 4-5 inches rain over night..and had David Allen Cole, in the cassette, the whole time!
Gotta think, hot, humid, dodging tornado's, trying to get to a motel, late night..just to much fun..(yep, I got stories!..AND have it on a vid, I took, all many roads trips..)..leave ya with this..DAC...

Been a "rebel", all my life.."screw the rules"..made by others, to tell me what I should do. HS "toss'out", survived Nam, got a decent job, did the work 21 years, , got the toss, and a pension. I'm clearing off the shop benches now..of "stuff on the list"..(it can wait)..making "sit down room", getting the chairs out. Damnit..I'm in a lousy mood tonite. I don't know why. Probably feeling effects, old..still healthy. Maybe the old stuff brought up, tunes, and remember those times, I had with friends, then, now either gone, or sick, with the struggle of cancer..(old G/F)..sucks. Many friends killed on bikes, the Nam thing, the constant BS news....the "freedom we knew,'...."gone..its now illegal"..seems I wake up too bullchit daily, the "tube news", and neighbors, one or the other is sick, with something. "Can ya help me here?
I have ..(again)..no idea why I am still alive..I have not only been "pushing the envelope" ..I flipped it over, .."Hmm..whats on the backside?"
I dunno, but the following rips..are my favorites. Life is tough. And to not known her, just here, my old G/F.. "this is for you Mary". ..going to the Mayo Clinic..(again)..she might not come home, this time. Only 58, struggled cancer for years..I told her today.."Kid..I wish ya well..but as 2500 miles away, I'm with you in in my mind, and holding yer hand."

Mary goes in tomorrow, ..MORE cancer crap, which she has beat for ten years..but its back. Only 58.
Heres what I just sent her. She is real scared this time....and thats bad news..the surgery's before , damn near had her gasping for life, but stormed out the ER...."not yet"

Sue, never meet Phil, but he was loved by many...as the post..:"Fast Phil"..!
But you trudge on..ya got friends here..some go on the Promised Land..and for a reason...don't question why.

Anyway..my email to Mary...(she lost her Hearing, in surgery, before..so phone calls don't work anymore..)

"Mary, I looked up "Sarcoma'...as not known. But ya know what....we put names on crap, and only the one suffering knows just what.."it is". Doc's try, but have no idea.
And the 'Doc's"..? its "only a "practice"..they know some medical stuff, but not the "Spirit"...of the patient.
So from me to you, be like ya always was..TOUGH!...REMEMBER..the fun kid you were. And still are...always have been. Don't give it up...stand up "swinging"...knock'em down..
Maybe think of that time, you/me, on the Triumph motorcycle, 1967, hit that damn dog on 31st street....Denny and Marie, on the BSA,..went up on the sidewalk? you ended up on the bike, me under the bike...on the ground us sliding into traffic coming our way?
I swear kid, you always had beautiful big eyes, and I SAW..THAT MOMENT IN TIME..an instant moment..."yer eyes, wide open..starring at me, scared to death, while cars were avoiding us, screeching tires, off the sides. I really saw you, more than any going down around me..and at that moment in time..I was more worried about you, than me, or the dumb bike. Ya put trust in me, to save ya then, although an instant...but I got a darn good look into your soul. Still in my brain, always will.
Mary, (DAMN)...go in there tomorrow, headup, do what ya gotta do.
And remember...too feel yer hand..its warm, and squeezed? Its me, and yer other "Angels"..hang in kid..love ya...I wish the best ...give yerself a "cyber" hug from me.

Last tonight..(oh yeah, Happy Hour Party was called off today....be here friday instead.
I stuffed a Pizza in the oven..last night, its windy and rain..just pulled it out, and BINGO..lights went out, about 10 pm...got it back at 6am.

She is useless a puter fingering it, we only do Facebookl Hubby is a friend mine, HS.,.and he's by her side. Like said, her hearing is shot....but..I hope I gave her strength, to trudge on.

She has had a bad life, never knew any Farther, just got'er mom..(COOL LADY..she took care her, when older...for years.."all timers"...sad), and older brother. And they just buried his wife, Cory, with cancer.
Life happens I guess...(well, DUH!)....but ya'all..keep the chin up, but don't stick it out to far...and let some one knock it off!

I think you are right Denny. I just lost my brother at the end of August 3 weeks before his 53rd birthday. Cancer sucks plain and simple:mad:.

This song is ~VERY ~VERY~ meaningful to me....after being totally disrespected and treated so badly while I was trying to STAND UP for Phil in his shop, as someone (no names) was asking me for his bank accounts, cd's, title's to vehicles, etc :mad::(...2 days after the accident before his body was buried, when I couldn't think straight and all I knew was what Phil asked me to do, he said if he didn't make it back by Sunday to please get his lawyer's car finished...I got in my car, crying, wondering how people could be so mean and cruel and have no heart then this song came on and I understood the difference between good and bad people! Just came to my mind..:smiletest: I guess I am getting everything out of my system by talking to all of you, and that is so good for me, to get everything that is bottled up inside of me out!. Oh and here's the kicker, after going through that horrible ordeal, the person who treated me THAT BADLY, well he had a brand new expensive, very expensive car...guess what the day of Phil's funeral, HIS CAR DIDN'T START...HA! Thanks Phil!!!!!!!!

Mark...it was a total nightmare. Frank knows all about it, he helped me!!! I don't want to use names right now, when I have a few minutes I will tell you all about it in a pm.It was so bad that when this person asked me for all Phil's and his dad's stuff (I took care of Phil's paperwork (13 years) and his dad's for about 8 years since he got sick. All I said was please can we do this at another time, I can't think straight right now, I am trying to get Phil's lawyer's car delivered. I had NO problem giving him any papers but not then, he said to me well if you won't get me the papers I will, and he walked behind the counter and proceeded to go through Phil's desk, draws, files, and when he opened our card draw where PHil kept every card I bought him, I totally lost it, I was hysterical. Phil's worker came out and said to him Phil's body isn't even back from Maryland yet, how could you do this. That nightmare continued throughout the years and was so bad, picture your worst nightmare coming true!!! but I won't say anymore on this thread, it is for good...HAPPY MUSIC!!!!!!

Go to user control panel
edit options- scroll down to Message Editor Interface
select standard editor.
After that when you go to you tube click on embed and copy and paste it in the thread

I like these old songs, reminds me of when I played all day long at the Fox river. Being a river rat was a great way to grow up. Somebody always had a radio playing, playing those tunes.

DAMN!...been a few hours!...FOUR MORE pagers!

Just got done, tossing the bum friends me..out.."Happy Hour..shop here..started popping tops, at 3:15..."...now 9:30!
I think we set a record....youngest 46, oldest 72, a full 6 hours!...5 kids over..great time out-lying the other, ...BUT...(scroll down..

OK, maybe many replies to come..(I gotta crash!..4 more pages!)

Anyway dude, go to yer CP stuff. Go to edit options, on yer left. Click.

Now scroll all the way down..you will,see..you are probably, by default, in editor..you are "wisywig..(?)

Click the box there.shows all options...click "BASIC..edit". NOW, all the way bottom, click SAVE!..(you will lose the "smile option, posting..normal..)
Now go Y/T...check any out, look the right, if says "embedded by request", click another vid, same, until that line says.."object...etc..
Then copy and paste the whole thing...then hit S+F..do a new reply, type something if wanted..and then hit the 'Enter key"..to drop a few spaces down...then simply send it on..after a paste.

Try it...mess here..I can work ya threw it...

It was, a good knight for music, all the oldies rolling through my head and watching the movie of Dennis the menace, before I knew it, it was 10:30, wow, thats late for me, unless I'm at the river partying,
then its two in the morning. Usually I'm up at between 3:30 & 4:00 every day.

Our place back in the day, was called "the garage" It was at the end of the street, a 2-1/2 car that ended up being our tavern. there was four of us Eldon, Gary, Scott and Me. It was Eldons garage, but we all used as if it was all of ours. There was always a 1/2 barrel of Old Style in the cooler and two or three cases of bottles in the fridge. We partied in that garage for six years, so you know the story's I could tell. sometimes it was the four of us, sometimes there would be 20 or more people there. Oh the memories.
Talk about crawling home, a lot of times I didn't remember, but I always made it home. Once or twice I woke up under the wood stove or wrapped around the fir pit, looking for warmth. those were the nights I just couldn't crawl home. The story's go on and on.
I don't do that anymore. I don't regret a single moment, and love reminiscing about the "good old days"

Gotta try again just to make sure. This song isn't that old but Loudon has been around forever. He used to hang out and write songs with John Lennon. For those of you who don't know I am a single dad. I kicked my daughters mom out 2 years ago because she is a drunk. I grew up with my dad listening to Dr. Hook. He bought me my first album for my 10th birthday. Shel Silverstien wrote this one. Not a bummer, best thing ever,we were not married. Where do you work? Do you always work on Saturday? I try not to but I can't seem to get caught up lately but not complaining. Last year at this time I was starving to death!

Yep, about what we got going here. We all live within a few blocks, its all private, so driving is cool. I can run faster than the speed limit. And we all got shops and toys, sometimes which garage party, is an unknown. Some partys just start on there own! Mine fulla bikes, another has old rat rods rods, another custom HD's, one is a master "tinkerer"..never know what he's building, Dave's is old trucks, his restored 56 panel chevy, 35 Chev...we all got different tastes. Winter anyway..summer its boats. Good bunch...had a lot of fun. And a little beat up today!

your right about music. My father was in electronics in the mid 50s thru the early 70s, He had a lot of radios, turntables and tv's. He had a stack of albums 4 feet high.

Haven't heard anything yet. I do know she was scared this time, but she has spunk. Aint much to her, probably 5'6, 120 pounds, but fiesty. She did mention to me the possibility of a lung coming out, and plastic ribs..(an other friend went through that..)...but I aint gonna speculate anything just yet. I'll know more as time goes by. Thanks for the thoughts and prayers..too..Robby

It was one of the first color sets out and he sold it. There I was with my balony sandwich and no tv.lol. I guess you had to be there. That was common around our place. We were first in town to have stereo. Hand built with Westinghouse components, tube type of course, 160 watt per. He hand built his own speaker system also. It was called the bent horn. You ever heard of them? It measured 4 ft. high, 3 ft. deep 4-1/2 ft.long. Sure wish I had them now, just for old times sake.

Yep, used to be called pink noise. That was the frequency leak, our ears tuned into it. Now it's white noise or noise pollution. I use a fan. I'm still knee deep in old stereo stuff.

I trust my Angels, (God busy working on other idiots)...try and do a simple good deed daily, even if its a piece of paper picked up, the road, walking the dog. Live by "Do unto others"...never have any "hate that bastard"..in yer heart..sucks up room of living, just say a prayer for them to stop the "hate" thing..

I have a zillion hours, old taped blues.(we have every weekend, Sat/Sun..6 to midnight, a NPR radio.."ALL BLUES!"...great old stuff, VERY little commercials! So its cranked, me twirling wrenches, out in the shop, listening to stuff like this, damn, I dunno, but somehow goes right into yer soul..

Well, an update Mary..and not good. Best I can do here is simply post her Facebook reply, to me. and my reply. Don't beat her up for all caps, not internet savvy..and had mayor stuff, taken out the body, 10 years ago, the last cancer. If ya ever meet her..well, like a lost puppy dog, ya wanna take home....(but it might be Gods way this time..)..poor girl is the best, just ****ty life, dumb things done, "because".."just ****ty life,"

"HAVE TO HAVE ANOTHER BIOPSY THIS TUESDAY, THIS NEW DOCTOR WASN'T HAPPY WITH THE FIRST ONE. I'LL BE PUT UNDER HE'S GOING IN WITH A CAMERA AND THAN TAKE SOME BIOPSYS. IT'S BECAUSE OF THE LUNG. I THINK HE FEELS IT SHOULD COME OUT. THE BIG SURGERY WILL BE IN 2-3 WEEKS CAUSE THAT HOW LONG IT TAKES TO LINE UP 3 SPECIALEST TO DO THE WORK. ONE DR. A friend of mine here, in his 30's, without of nowhere cancer.. well, started Testicles, went into the stomach, ..(VERY AGGRESSIVE)..then the lings, ribs. All removed. Replaced synthetic.
THEN, hit his brain...a solid "Deadhead hippie..good people..)..so know its in the brain surgery..Chemo killed the 4 foot long blond ponytail anyway..and still he's trudges on..alive a well..and he got a tattoo, over the head "road map, brain surgery"..a map, of where he lives.."If I aint by the "X"..I'm lost! Gotta love the survivors..

Grand Funk ..somewhere a time ago..went Religious/Gospel. A friend of mine..(also 20 year battle cancer.."hours of storys him"..he turned me on to a "Grand Funk" tape, at my house one day.

He was way into God at this time...(brain surgery. leg cut off..in a chair at 35..)..big church thing..his only friends..(besides me, few others..wife and daughter took off)...

Died last year..but whats so funny, as we both saw, the two sides, of GFR!

Sorry to here about your friend. I drove my grampa around for a year after they took one lung. He never told anyone the other was full of cancer. Very proud man,WWII infantry,Burma. I quit smoking years ago. Didn't look like a good way to go!
