Well, I helped a dude here work on his boat today, my dog got a ride, pee'ed a bush, gotta free cookies, and a belly rub..(I got 2 free beers!)..then shot back, got the leaf blower out, did the drive again, as saying rain tomorrow..(mountains Ski resorts are either open, or this weekend, saying another good foot up there, (not sea level..just gonna be wet down here)..
Back in the shop, woodstove is cooking..(ya, only 50 outside, but I'm a wimp..now 74 in here.."gotta love a toasty shop, my toys, happy dog, and will sooner or later, hit the house, do a Pizza, crash the couch, watch taped racing, of some sort. NHRA finals, end, this weekend..be a good final show.
But now..."back to the music!"...oldies on now..getting nothing done here in the shop as usual..but got one playing now, I don't think we not posted?

Robby sometimes it good to do nothing. Your shop look pretty well in order in your pictures so can just sit awhile and have some fun. You already put you time in.

Yep...life has enough "stress"..and as VERY lucky to get retired at 44, a plant shutdown..(the beginning of the end by the way, our economy), had the time and service at work..(Reynolds "Tinfoil")..and now bought out Alcoa, got a decent pension, good health care..(unless Opey messes it up)..and I always was a "shop bum"..women like the perfect house, I like a perfect shop.
Trust me, I have people here the private HOA, knowing I can work/fix anything, say to the other people who don't know me "yet".."Take it to Robby"
More than one said..after me letting them in.."Jezz, like a freaking museam!"
Decades of mems, everywhere ya look Posters, toys..(big and small)..old pix me, my tools, etc.
Had a dude come over a week ago...lives a few blocks away, builds Harleys and now getting into "Rat Rods", has a 40x60 shop...the wife saw my shop for the first time..she freaked!..says.."'Jason (hubby).. how come yer shop is such a cluttered mess?..

Its a guy thing, and some the BEST, mechanics, I know, ya wonder how they can find anything, tripping over parts, just laying on the floor.:thumbsup:

Also should say here, as the "corner Tavern"..(9 miles back to HWY101.we are rural, but populated HOA, end of peninsula)", the DUI thing, simple few beers, has me in winter, saying ..on Fridays, 'ya all come on home here, after work, shop be warm, BYOB, music cranking, BS, "roast one", toast many, laugh..crawl home if needed.. private HOA..5 miles roads, no cops, just don't smash into the parked boats....its my famous "Happy Hour", shop parties. Many work for the Power company's, construction, truck drivers, doing Cement, etc. Hard working dudes, to make yer life easy..and deserve a easy pay back..my dime if needed....some these guys..(the Power to yer house, are out in the worst possible weather imagined, windstorms/ice/snow/cold.., power outs..busting butt..so ya got power back...its my small token, payback, to them...and all super dudes...bust there butt.
I just get them wasted, and tell'em..Thanks..

Kinda taking some "fork in the road"..here..but without those dudes...I would not be able to post a damn thing...we need that "lectricity"

I built this place 15 years ago...did it my way...of course, having the all day retired thing, to work it, helps. how in heel, I ever did the 21 years work, up at 5am, off 3pm, party 'till 3am, do it again, is beyond me!

Day at a time kids..and trust me..the grass here, might be greener, but "still needs cutting!"

I actually don't hate paint, I love paint, but I hate it when paint does not turn out how I envision it. Currently, we are painting several rooms in our condo that flow together: the kitchen, the entry way, the living room and dining room, and it's a pain in the ass to get the colors to be cohesive within the rooms.

The yellow I chose for the kitchen turned out to be much brighter than I wanted, and I feel like it's a giant pad of butter. I love the red I chose for one wall in the living room/dining room, but the coordinating brown looks more like orange, so the combo of the three colors makes me want to pull my hair out (I swear, when I looked at them on the paint cards, I was envisioning something sophisticated, not something from PlayLand).

The brown (that looks like orange) clearly has to be re-done . That means one more thing to do....ahhhhh! I need one of three things: an army of trained monkeys, a troup of helpful elves, or a gaggle of gnomes; if any of you have these handy-dandy creatures in your employ, please send them to my house.

OK...Robby you had me rollin :D:D:D:D:D...
see I found out how to take care of that paint problem, just went through it trying to find the right colors. I am neurotic, I find the color I want have it made up paint a piece of the wall, let it dry, walk around it all day and if I really like it, it stays, if not, it goes!!! I hate painting too, but I also hate when paint look dingy...I have a really small house so it's not that bad to change colors every few years but I usually always stay neutral...

I gotta bug out for now, after 8pm, old Nam chooper pilot, few houses down, 66..early the US involve..all messed up..shrap in the back, can't hardly walk, weekly VA. His sister takes care him, as her 91 year old mom..we BS, Nam..have a few beers, tell "lies"..(he's REAL..seen it all, in the "bird")...and loves my doggy..(free "cookies"!)

I woke up thinking about how much life has changed over the years, I am sure most of you feel the same...life was different! I am a happy person even through all the heartache, I have learned to survive. I won't forget the people who have blessed my life, some people find it better to forget, I find it better to go on with life but not forget them, or just surpress thoughts about them, I find it better to honor them and keep their memory alive...after all they were an important part of our life.
To the people I love who have moved on to the presence of God, this is for you. Growing up in an Italian family, Sunday used to be a day for family to be together. Long before there were computers, malls and electronic games we found things to do...talk, play games and just be together as a family...Sunday was family day at grandma and granddad's, all the family together, while the meatballs were frying and the sauce was being made, the smell alone I will never forget...I guess as Thanksgiving is approaching and so much has changed, I start remembering life the way it used to be!!!

Sue that is an absolutely beautiful thought. We have all lost loved ones. Some closer than others and have suffered through trying to make sense of it all. I agree that we can not forget them after all we are who we are today because of them. When our turn comes hopefully we will leave some of our love and memories to our loved ones. Kids, I been a Harley riding saddlerat, for 50 years. Aint no place I aint been. Sold my road Bagger to my Neph, in SoCal, My 30 year old Shovelhead is for sale, and selling the 165 mph CBR. Next will be the billions of mountain trails here..just 20 minutes from me is the

Take anything that vibrates,.. like like an electric shaver, a electric drill,...run it back and forth over where a stud should be..you will here the diff sound..

Too bad we live so far apart...be nice, close...as ya get sick of fixing yer own stuff, ya do a simple.."rather work the same elsewhere, you do mine.."samo-samo..diff place!"..(and new thought!)..think .."think tank"...so many times obvious..escapes ya, but others see..hey dumbass..do this! )

Friends here know me..fix anything mechanical, got skills and tools, but the samo my junk gets old..same stuff, diff place..is a challenge! The "barter thing"..I'm the type of guy that will help anyone else out....what goes around, comes around...

But as long as able, rather bitch the dogpatch, do the work, than some freaking condo in town, with a single rat mother one side , 6 kids, other side loud noise crackheads, constant noise..(not AC/DC!)...
Or some nursing home,, where my mom spent the last 3 years her life, massive stroke, zero speech, in a chair, only able to move her right arm...sucked to see her that way..but her, like me..a "trooper"..
Ya got 4 good limbs, can talk, can see..?
Ya doing better than some..probably many..
