Tell me! Does it really matter if you install a gimbal bearing in backwards? I did and really don't want to try undoing everything to fix it. It's a 95 omc 3.0.

as long as you lined up the grease/lube port it's not a problem. if you didn't line up the port then you'll have to remove it in order to grease it in the future....

It really doesn't matter which way you put it in other than the grease hole being lined up. The reason they don't want you installing it with the slots in the outer Aluminum tolerance ring facing out is so you don't do it the lazy way and just change the bearing. They want you to pull it out and change the whole thing in case the tolerance ring is wore from vibration of the worn bearing.
