Vmax hood on saltwater series motor?

I have a 98 saltwater series 250..Can I run a Vmax cowling on it?

Yes, if both hoods are from the same generation AND the same displacement.

So you would need to find a hood from an older 225 or 250 Vmax 3.1L ?

ok, I guess next question would be any body got an idea of a shop that has alot of old yammy parts like that?

I am looking for a cowling for my saltwater series 250, 1998. I am wondering if I can put a vmax cowling on it or if it would be easier to have mine repainted?? What do you think?

I have this done to a pair of my 3.3 liters 300s. Its simple just drill a couple new holes and order the parts from Yamaha. On the 3.3 its just a simple addition of the 2 side vents, you keep the top and cowling.
