OK, the manual calls for using a test prop... yeah right, my local brp dealer doesn't have a clue- never even heard of it.:nonod:
So, I figure I'd ask how everyone else sets max timing on thier OMCs. I've done mercs before- I tried checking the omc using the old merc method of pulling plugs and cranking with the timing at max advance... this cannot be right, as its too advanced under the timing light.:rolleyes:
This thing runs awesome and it still has the factory paint on the max timing screw, so I know its never been touched... I just don't feel right doing a tune up without checking and setting the timing:cheers:
