I have transformed over to the dark side and am looking for advice on a prop.
1984 16' Baja with a 1996 175 EFI 20" Merc bolted straight to the transom. I cannot go with a jackplate right now because the boat will not fit in the garage with one, so the motor will stay on the transom.
The boat was rigged with a 115 Lemmonrude and a 22 Raker, I was getting 56 MPH @ 5600 RPM and had to trim a lot to get it to go. I went with the Merc mainly to get better holeshot especially while carrying 4 people. The V-4 was a bit doggy without changing props.
What would be a good starting point?
