im saying mod vp because of the tunnels...anyways do ya know what it is???

mod vp was a racing class... just because its a tunnel boat with a center pod doesn't make it a mod vp... its quite ugly though... reminds me of I think a sleekcraft or something like that from the early 80s I've seen pictures of before. any idea of weight? the boats I mention were quite heavy from what I remember.

hey verado...thanks for the info...we have no idea on weight yet...we're both still in afghanistan...we had my dad go pick the boat up yesterday. any idea on how fast those old sleekers are capable of running with a single V6?

do you know anything about the old sleekers?...looking for set-up tips and guesses on performance...my buddy is hoping for 80...im guessing that it'll need big power to get there...think it'll handle an old omc 300?

Bobby, weren't there a few of these in the PowerBoat Mod VP shootout back in 81 or 82 at St. Louis?? I remember dad talking about them and how they didn't handle that great or weren't fast enough to hang or something of that nature.

you at least seem to know something about these boats...what do you think it'd do with an omc 300 on it?...in your opinion if he puts big power on it will it run 80mph...i dont have a guess for weight yet...i talked to my dad about it...he says it doesnt seem overly heavy...thats all the info on weight that i have...no one really seems to know much about these boats so ill take any info i can find...thanks

let me get the info I have on them out and see what it says... I think the power on them back when they were tested at St. Louis was 225 and they were in the mid 80s but that could be wrong. I'll find out and let you know.
