need to install the stainless marine trim actuator to my 280 style 15' mid. can someone give a brief explanation of how to install. have the 4' and 8' rods, half lock-nut along with the 2 bushings and splice connection. thanks

Taylor...the part you are talking about doesn't go through the clamp part of the bracket....it goes through a hole in the swivel part of the bracket...about 4 inches from the bottom of the swivel in front of the can. The 8" part is what goes through the bracket, then the bushing attaches through that and the 4" piece attaches through the bushing so that it sticks out the left side of the swivel bracket 4-5"...so that it will engage the actuator.
I hope this was clearer than mud...I would go out and take a pic, but it's already almost dark and I'm afraid it wouldn't come out very well.
