after reading threads about drilling and or cutting the mid section to relieve the exhaust,would the exhaust housing from bobs that bolts to the back of the mid be a safe bet on not cracking the mid section?

The risk in the mid breaking is NOT from what you bolt or weld to it, but how big and where you cut the holes for the relief. Although some people have cut huge holes in the back of the mid successfully, other mids with relieved exhaust have suffered broken mids.

The Bobs snout works OK, but it works better if welded...Az Raceman say'z, tha holes are tha starting point for most breaks...Smooth cuts, and or welding a bead around the hole helps stop cracking starts...JMO
