Hey, I just upgraded My 16' Checkmate Predictor from an inline merc 140 to a 97 Merc 175....whoa baby!!! I added a 6 inch jackplate, hotfoot and dual rack and pinion!!!! This mother flys and takes off like a scalded dog...One problem....chim walking!!!! Any help would be greatly appriciated...Im driving my ass off at 75 mph....with alot more to go!!!

How high is your motor and what gearcase are you running.

Solid mounts?

Properly adjusted steering cables?

If you grab the motor at the cavitation plate and give it a firm back and forth shake, does the motor move back and forth?

:iagree:Tighten those cables they can have alot of slack and can dramatically change your high speed handling, More info bout your setup like prop hieght and style case like HARRELLS said.
