Go to Consumers Beach or Brower on Firday.
All the above and The Sandbar on Saturday/Sunday.
Consumers is about 2 miles upstream of Hardy Dam, on the Left/West.
Brower is about another 7 miles upstream...can't miss it, the River turns left there.
Sandbar is all the way upstream about 16/17 miles...you'll see a bunch of boats parked.

Please, some helpful hints for making the most of our first Hardy eperience. Aside from the obvious... we already packed the tiny kini's.
Let me sum this up for ya. There are basically two events going on this weekend at Hardy.
(1) There's the group of boaters that gather at Consumers on Saturday for Hardy Gras to participate in major alcohol consumption, beads for nudity, open sex on boats, which eventually ends in some sort of trouble by the time the sun sets. There's even one gal that wants to try to beat last years record of how many guys she can consecutively bang in one afternoon. A line gang bang if you may. If that's what you're wanting to see........go to Consumers on Saturday. Just be careful. This year the Newaygo County Sheriff Dept. has asked for help from the US Coast Guard. There will be a total of six marine patrol boats and a helicopter covering this area from 10am - 10pm on Saturday. Anyone parking their vehicles and walking in to Consumers from the road can expect to have their cars towed away and impounded. It's gonna be an EXPENSIVE weekend for the idiots this year.
(2) The other group of Hot Boaters come for what this weekend was originally intended to be and has been for many years for most of us...........Hot Boat Weekend. For us it's about gathering together with some of Michigans best hot boats. There's even boats from Indiana, Illinois, and Ohio. It's about good people and fast boats. This group can be found roaming the waterway from Brower to 131 and usually hangs at the sandbars on Saturday and Sunday.

Hardy Gras is a lot of fun for many people. It's just that events like this can and sometimes do get out of hand when the alcohol starts flowing. There's always a few bad apples that spoil the whole lot. Wherever you go this weekend you'll have a good time. Have fun and be safe.

I was there yesterday. The boats were already rafting up by 4pm. There was only a small channel to get out by 5pm. The marine patrol was already out there and they had quite the setup at Sandy Beach for their arrests. A few are gonna ruin it for all I'm afraid. Rich, I'll let ya know if I hear anything cuz I'll be upriver with the Hot Boat crowd. Got alot of friends going to Consumers with boxes of beads and cameras.
Leaving right now.........it's 6:50 am!
