I have one 30" ChopperII that needs some conditioning and balancing and [2] 32" ChopperIIs that I need the pitch reduced to 30" since I don't have the HP to turn them [I can only turn them 6K anymore].
Who has the best prop shop out there?
I read about so many shops camping on peoples props for months at a time and i don't need the agrivation.

I've had D.A.H Pro-Peller in WI do work on my props and i have been very happy with their work, also they are great people to deal with!! I also have some Ron Hill props and they seem to work great too...

I want someone really hi-tech shop instead of someone who uses a torch and a rubber mallet until it "looks right". I wonder if I should make this a poll? Thanks for the suggestions so far, keep them coming.

Got news for ya...they all use a torch and rubber mallet. :D
Propwork is part science and part art. The science part comes from the pitch blocks they use and the techniques which are common. The art comes from knowing what to do to them to get them to run certain ways on certain applications. Nothing beats experience. The Janaky's at DAH have been around for a long time. I just finally got around to having them work a prop for me, an SRX and they did a fantastic job for a reasonable price. Mark Croxton does alot of bassboat apps like Trophy's and Tempests and Bravo's and is supposed to be very good and reasonable. My bet for custom overhub work would be the boys in Soddy Daisey, Peformance Propellors. They do some fabulous work. Rich Boger used to do all my props and he was a master. He's not doing much these day because of his health.
Bottom line is everyone has someone to recommend them. I would call around and talk to them. I called Mazco about a prop and got the total cold shoulder. I would never send a prop to those aholes even though someone will come here and say they are the best guys in the world. No me. But that's my point. Call and chat about what you want done. It will be easy for you that way based on what they say.

Has to be Performance Propeller Inc. Sody Daisy Tn 1-800-572-5527. I think they do a lot of prop work for Darris. I know they did great work on my 28 ChopperII and the Allison cut on my 27 Trophy.

TWO 32"s , Maybe That's One To Many !
J.R. , I'd say Leading Edge , or Performance Propellers of Soddy Daisy are your best bets . I ran one of Rich's Mod. 30" choppers this weekend ,and That Thing Had Me Rolling Right Along . Just not sure how it would hold your GS up ,as I had to pack some air up to around 90 .

Along with many others, Jack Barsch also said Performance Propellors too.
I called and talked to them and they seemed very knowledgeable and quoted me a great price.
They must be good to make that many Black-Belts happy.
They also told me that if I reduced the pitch on the 32s they would be inefficient so they suggested to send them one and do an ET type cut which will pick up my RPM.
I'll keep the other 32 in reserve if I ever get around to sending my other PMAX block to Jay for some extra horsepower.
Thanks everyone.
