A friend sent me these today, and I want to share them with everyone.
My time at the Lake was in the late 1990's with various projects, and even stayed at the motel there a time or three. There was nothing like it and probably will never be another.
It will take me two posts to put all the photos on -so here goes -

Here's the rest of them - I don't have any information on the boy scout situation there, if I find something out I'll post.
Bernie- cool pixs! What did they use the half track for?

From what I was told, the half track was for border patrol in the days before the road was built around the lake - so that had to be in from the 60's. I know I never saw it move while I was there. Maybe it will go on Ebay some day!!!
It was also used for fire protection, I saw Jim Welton drive it to the motel, probably about 1974 or so, funny story, I'll be able to tell it once I don't work there anymore.
I have a lot of stories I can't tell yet.
