I went to look at a 1990 seebold eagle with twin 200 outboards on it, I heard it was factory option, but there was like only 6 made? Anyone have any info on these boats?

I rode in one a number of years ago with a single Stern Drive. The boat ran well for the HP and also rode very well. It would be a great boat for lake of the Ozarks. I know they they made a couple of outboards. I think Mike Seebold had one with a couple of Bridgeports.
For the best information on the boat I would contact Tim Seebold 573 348-6200 is an old number that may still be good. Tim is in Osage Beach MO. He can tell you everything you want to know about the boats.
Good Luck

The boat at Randys look like it is 25 foot not the 265. 25' had a panel on the deck for the hatch to bolt to.

The 25' was a nice boat, but the 265 was a much better boat.
Too bad to see this boat left out to rot away.

I came within a nats eyelash of buying a yellow one in Fla a yr ago and seller said the Seebolds told them they built I think 5.
He had twin 250 XSs on his and it ran 90!

That was Nick's boat. It did have twin 250xs's and ran 89 and change. Not sure if the needle ever hit 90! It was a handful to drive at 80+. Was fun in flat lake water but the ultra wide pad would beat you up in choppy water!

I had a 25' with 200 Mercs on Gil brkts. It was whie hull with red and blue trim. Loved the boat. It was a 75 MPH with that power. I believe it was rated for 600 HP. The pad made it a great boat for stability but it did pound when the water got rough. Sold the boat in NJ. I didn't know they made a 26 footer.

No badge anywhere, just put model to it by the little answers I found. Could be a 25.

Not sure but I'll dig up the pixs I saved.
BTW, the 90 MPH speed I posted...., was 89.8 or 89.9, per GPS, per owner..
I told seller (Nick), that's 90 in my book.

When Nick bought the boat it had old Armstrong non floatation brackets that were about 20" of setback and twin 2.4L 200's with CLE gear cases. Nick pulled the motors and setbacks off and installed a Stainless Marine floatation style box with about 6" of setback if I remember correctly. We had some fun running the boat in the Okeechobee canal (Lock Park to Lake O) and trying to crack the 90mph mark. The boat was like a giant Hydrostream..you had the challenge of trying to keep it flying on the pad but.....when it got out of shape, it got OUT of shape!!! Not for the timid unless you brought a change of boxer shorts! lmao

I am glad my boat was only in the seventies. It never got out of shape but at 90 that is a lot of boat to get out of shape and recover. Change of shorts for sure LOL

This would have been a yr ago and would have been as in the pixs, needing nothing.

I had a red and white 25. Originally a single sterndrive, I converted it to a twin outboard. Used a pair of 25 in 2.4 200's on Bob's Machine Shop jacking plates, no transom bracket. Boat ran of best of 76 with 26 Choppers. I had the props turning inboard as on the yellow boat. That was worth 3 to 4 miles an hour, carried the bow higher, however the boat was more difficult to drive at speed. I have a bunch of pictures, I'll see if I can find them and post a few. Trailer Boats magazine did an article about it back in the 90s.
This was a fun boat, however it was more of a big lake boat than a small offshore boat. It did not have enough recovery in the keel and the stem to run in big seas. Stuffed it a couple of times.

Honda,
I would remove the gil brackets and either go with the jacking plates flat on the transom or sell those and get a pair of Bob’s manual jacking plates with the same setback. Once I had my engine height set, I found no advantage to moving them around. You will need 25 inch motor to do that, but it keeps from dipping the powerheads in your stern wake when you come off plane like they do with the gil brackets.

Killer.
Congrats!
Im a big fan of that hull. I flinched on buying Nicks due to its limitation in slop which I'm in all all the time but, the idea of setting up.....,basically a Hydrostream w/twins, that runs 90 when right...., you're now in cat huntin territory 😎
For Georgian Bay......,let me know when it's done.
Ill only need about an hr w/her 😉
Again, congrats.
PS, you are lucky to have a guy on this thread that seems to know that hull well and is offering to tutor you.
Accept.

Second, yes I did pickup the Seebold in NY dropped it off at home and drove away next morning on long awaited vacation. apologise for delayed reply. It is definately going to be a project, but very solid with not a scratch or stress crack anywhere that I can see so far and it's fully rigged, and prepped for paint, interior needs redone .Here are a few pics of my canvas 417355417356417357417361417362417363

Hondatech would you mind sending me the setback and height of the brackets? The brackets were gone before I got to mine.
How wide it that pad? and what is the dead rise , Thanks

Before you paint it you may consider removing the bow light, filling the holes and mounting a set on the sides of the cockpit like I did or flush mount into the hull. I snatched several bow lights off with a line to the bow cleat. Mounted a pair of spring cleats as well, very useful.

16'' pad WOW , I see why it's fast ,
The boat could be ordered with twin 454 Magnums, so it needed the pad width to carry the weight. All the lift in the pad is why I had to turn the props in so the bow would lift. Made a 4mph difference, but it didn't handle as well. I suspect that is why Nick's boat (post #14) was such a handful to drive.

The boat was stripped to a bare hull by previous owner. It is solid , needs a ton of love. Saving for a second pro mag for it and a flotation bracket, also needs helm and all it has is 1 bolster is in boat. My Rabco hustler will be finished this month and then I start this one.

I have one of these boats. Purchased from original owner in Trenton NJ, I think it may have been forum member SilverFox in the mid 2000's. Boat is still stored at the marina where the original owner purchased and stored the boat. It is in pretty great condition, always rack stored indoors. Has gill brackets that still have the original stickers on them. Completely original, no mods/repairs/paint. Trenton Marine repowered with counter rotated Opti 135's in 2010 and I did have them install a custom made aluminum plate on the inside of the transom. Still run the same original 25" chopper props, only the gear is 2.0 instead of original 200's that had 1.75 lowers. Runs like a charm, mid 50's at 5000rpm. Can get over 3 miles per gallon at minimum plane speed, around 30mph at 3100rpm. Have been thinking about selling it and found this thread. After searching on internet, it appears that it is a very uncommon boat, 5 or 6 made. I have a bunch of pics I can post.

I am the owner that you bought it from. We live in Florida as you might remember. My friends that boat in the area told me you had repowered the boat with Opti's. I am glad it has been a good boat for you. To be honest I still miss that boat and the great times we had with her. It was a rarity to have Seebold build one originally for outboards. If you want PM me with pictures and particulars on selling it.
Thanks

Wow, would never have thought that I would find you the original owner. Hope you enjoy FL, we are thinking of looking down around Sarasota in a few years. What a great boat, only thing other than repower was that I replaced the helm with a new unit about 8 years ago, but other than that it has been 100% reliable. After running those 200's up to 6,1000 rpm a number of times, when I had a gear case fail, I decided that I really didn't need to be going that fast, 50 is just right. Paint has a few faded parts on the transom and deck from when it had to be left at the dock while they repaired the rack building, but all in all it cleans up great, I will post some pics and pm you price.
