Any S&F folks boat on this lake? Ideas for a Labor Day romp? I think it is an awesome piece of water.

I'm aware of the Raystown event. I love the idea and would like to attend. I also thought a romp at Kinzua would be a perfect compliment to this event for all of us in Western Pa and NE Ohio. What a September it could be with both events!! It would allow S&F members from the east coast to meet their fellow members further west.

Essentially it is a 27 mile long damed up river valley with 90 miles of shoreline located in the Allegheny National Forest.

this is why we wait till fall to have the raystown thing, we have the lake to ourselves.

Its been several years since I've been there. When I used to go there a lot (my ex was from Kane), I was surprised at the lack of traffic. Then again, it is not close to any big city. You have to go to Bradford or Warren to get a decent hotel. It is primarily a hunting and fishing region.

I agree with you on September boating. My favorite months to be on the water are September and early October. The Raystown deal sounds like fun. I've seen the signs on I80 when traveling to the East Coast on business.
