Hello all!
I picked up an urgent message from IBM's PA office today. It seems that a email is surfacing entitled "It takes guts to say Jesus". DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES OPEN IT!
It is being reported that this virus will completely wipe out your entire hard drive along with other damage (as if that isn't enough). Some #*%$ head is using a Norton utility to accomplish this. Just be careful...Thanks Jimmy

While the "It takes guts to say Jesus" e-mail warning is listed as a hoax by the CIAC (Dept of Energy Computer Internet Advisory Capability)
http://hoaxbusters.ciac.org/HBMalCode.shtml#jesus
...there HAS been a TON of virus-laden emails spread recently. I get about 3 per day! There are also websites that are infected with trojans which may install on your system if you dont have your browser settings at med/high risk.

Be careful not to open ANY attachment without complete knowledge of who it came from AND what it is they sent.

Even if you "know" the sender, be cautious if you don't recognize the file format. Some virus's can fake the sender's address, and/or send themselves without the knowledge of the computer owner/user. The W.32.klez virus is like that, and I've been getting them regularly for months and months. Norton's catches them all, so far, but I update my virus definitions at least bi-weekly.
