Guys, I found this boat today in a storage lot, guy is clearing it out and is giving all the boats away. this one has been sitting awhile but seems solid. looks like a check maybe. about 16-17 feet. and the bush in the pic is inside the hull. not through it. also check out this johnson they have, anyone know what it is?

what do you think it is? I was thinking a sidewinder sort of thing till i saw it from the other side and it had a look that reminded me of those old checks. Not sure what it is.

Early 60's in 90 to 100 hp range with electric shift lower. Not worth foolin' with unless in running condition, and not too much worth foolin' with even then. Don't get excited about the shape of the gearcase. All the old OMC's looked like that. Merc bragged about the design of theirs where the front of the torpedo didn't stick out past the rest of it, therefore makin' it harder to get hung on underwater stuff, but OMC stayed with the racy lookin' shape for a long time after.

OMC stayed with that look until Charlie Strang took over their engineering department and brought out the 3 cylinder looper ... OMC's first "modern" outboard

whats with the cmc plate in the background of the middle pic? might be worth something

its a CMC trim unit, not a jackplate. might be worth something, but he isn't giving up the motors till he can go through them. right now just the boats. needs to consolidate from 2 yards to one.

I looked up savage and never found anything like this thing. found some similar old baja's but not quite the same. found a charger with similar lines. Any Idea's?
