Just want to know how to cleaver propellers perform? I have a 90 yamaha and was thinking of the best prop to run in rough water. Many have told me about this brand of prop but the only way I can test one is if I buy it. So before I make an investment any ideas?? Greatly appreciated

for rough water use a 4 blade....more bite, less slip, 3 blades are 1980's technology

So even tho it will drop the rpms slightly it'll still run better?

Going from 3 to 4 blades you usually drop an 1inch of pitch ,The 4 Blades generally carry a load better and some are very fast, although old technology the Cleaver 3 blade is a fast prop ,which gives stern lift .Remember your fastest prop wont be your best all round prop for carrying a load of girls and beer around :thumbsup:Dont discount a Tempest for your rig they give mild bow lift and are fast plus you can play with the vent holes for grip

I just went from a 4 blade chopper style prop (which is an awesome prop on my rig, great cruise, Accelleration & load carrying!) To an older 14 x 26 offshore? cleaver, & the boat was like a completely different thing!! alot faster, handling way better, more accelleration! Only loss was load carrying.

When up and running I was getting around 5400 to 5500 rpms. And yes it was the stock one. I could feel the difference in the boat with the steps in it. If the where properly redone it'll be even better
