Triton TR21 bass boat, 2001 Mercury 225HP EFI, 6" jack plate, 250XB heads, TRD reeds, Brucato serviced injectors, new powerhead with vertex .015 over pistons. Compression 110 across the board. 250 ignition ECM and 250 fuel ECM. Turns 6100 RPM with 25 tempest prop to 74mph. Runs great on top, but, it is a dog out of the hole. Before the jack plate and rod through the powerhead, it jumped out of the hole. I don't believe my old powerhead had relief slots, but the new one does. Any suggestions as to help get on plane faster. (I have a set of 300PM heads and am going to try to improve the compression, hope this will help) Any suggestions/comments as to the problem:confused:
