I lost you guys. you headed of to the deep end so i turned around and made another pass behind the island. Then i shut it down right in the middle of the flats. i didnt see noone around for a while so i headed in. it wasnt very calm out anyway.
that pass you saw, the gps showed 121. one of them crab traps got in my way ,had cross wind that put me off course. not easy to turn goin fast.

gps recorded 2 runs 125.1 and 125.3 on different days in august. I run a 14.5x32 lab cleaver with a sportmaster on a hydraulic 4" setback by stainless marine. I'm not 100% sure of my rpms cause the tach is for 8k. It buries it pretty far past the end though.:D Im looking at the lcd tachs with the recall. I cant be watching the tach at that speed. Im also going to try a 34 lab cleaver, cause I think the motor is making most of its power between 8000-8200 and the a 34 should keep me in that range. I also have an easy 100lbs I can unload and a speedo pitot draging in the water. With cooler air on the way and these few things plus a fully mod'd sportmaster to test my goal of 130 should be reached.

WITH ALL THE MODS TO THE CASE AND DIFFERENT PROP SELECTION-THE FASTEST WE HAVE SEEN IS 117.9- THOSE SPEEDS IN A EURO ARE VERY IMPRESSIVE- IN FACT WE HAVE PUT MORE POWER TO THEM AND FOUND NO NOTICEABLE DIFFENCE IN SPEED- IN OUR OPINION THE EURO IS THE LEAST AERODYNAMIC OF THE STV FAMILY AND AT THOSE SPEEDS AERODYNAMICS PLAYS A BIG PART- ON THE OTHER END THE EURO SEEMS TO HAVE THE LEAST SLIP OF ALL STV'S AROUND 5-6%- ONCE AGAIN YOUR NUMBERS ARE AWESOME- WE BOAT WITH 4 EURO'S PLEASE DO NOT RESPOND TO THEM-ITS HARD ENOUGH TO STAY IN FRONT

I have seen Helmuts gps after a run, and he is telling
the truth. Wayne Tripp went 131+ in his Euro, and said
it was still pulling when he backed out. He also did it
with a 32 Mercury lab cleaver. I'm sure with a smaller
prop Helm's boat would still hit 120 and be much
quicker doing it.

Hey STV I saw you run on long island how does that baby run in rough water. I'm in Jamaica Bay/NY Harbor I've got a Checkmate Enchanter and we get pounded pretty bad out there sometimes.
What kind of water do you run in with that STV?
thanks,

the deep parts of the bay get pretty sloppy but we stick to the flats out of the channels where the water is 2-4ft. the waves cannot travel far in shallow water so it stays calm even on a hot sunday after noon. 1&1/2' chop is about the max before things get bad.
