Last weekend we had a handfull of Mates get together on the saginaw river up in Saginaw, Mi. The weather was pretty shabby but we had a great time. We had 9 boats out there at one time.

Dang this one reminds me of my ancient '73 brown Checkmate. Way to many home projects got in the way of that, but I sure miss the old inline purring at 6K with a 20p. And it has no pad, I had wanted to put one on it. I still have it too:o Not the fastest, but loads of room for a 17 and it would pound waves with the best of them. I don't like to jump waves with my bayliner it might break in half, lol. Not much trim in this shot either.

Hey Illmatic, what did you have on your Predictor to make it go 80+? I have a 1982 Enitcer on my Siggy, it has the stock 140 Crossflow Johnny rude, I just got a Brand New 6inch Slidemaster Jack plate that Ive yet to install, Im hopin that will help as much as most Mate guys say, Im gettin only 52 now, on the 2nd hole, with a 22 Raker prop, Im hopin to have my Tech at my marina do a Dealer tune, jet it , and put the plate on and Hit 60 on gps, is that possible or do I need a 150 or 175? My goal if I keep it is to find a 175 Fast strike from 1991 when it was really a 200hp motor and let her Fly, but for now I have the 140, any ideas let me know, thanks dude, Brannon

Very cool. Who's got the black/red/yellow Starflight now? I think that is the one I was thinking about buying last year.

I had a 200 on it. Its the one in the pics. I sold it to a guy who still runs it on the river.

Made my morning. Finding an unmolested inline these days is becoming tougher.

plenty of them up north, they dont get the use that southern engines can.no salt in the midwest, except on the roads.

Hey illmatic. You going to be making any appearances in Oscoda this summer?? Would be nice to see your boat run up here on the pond.
There is a Mi. Hot Boat meet here the weekend before labor day if your interested. Should be 20 or 30 boats up for it.

My '73 inline has never been apart, nor the boat. But the transom is weak and gel is not good either. I had to run a lot of trim with a laser prop, that looks strange to me him not having any, lol. But I think my inline lost a little go once it got good and hot running it hard. It showed 120psi compression on all holes when I checked it, all very close to that. I should fire it up in the yard, that would be fun and it gets rid of all the bugs. Maybe some day I'll get around to freshening it up.
