It's one of those high powered chic magnets.....it looks like it would be expensive....look expensive and they will come. I'm thinking about painting the Fly silver and putting a Walnut dash in it.hehe

Couldn't you just paint it green and put Benjamin Franklin on the side and they all come running...

I think they did a full report about that rig in (of all magazines:( ) FPBM.

If its the same rig and owner, this guy has tons of rigs to play with. Must be nice to have that kind of cheese to buy a dozen rigs at one time.

Heck, I'm still trying to win the lotto. When I do, all ya'll are invited to my place in FL for the Sunshine Syndicates version of the RUmble.

That boat is about as far from being a Skater than anything I've ever seen on the water.

Here's a Skater!

There is quite a resemblance to the first old Inboard hydroplanes...

Sort of a 'retro' boat. Maybe a restoration?

Hey BK, where did you get the picture of Delta? that is from my neck of the woods. It is a Ditchburn if I remember correctly.
That boat is worth about half a million dollers.

Do you know if that is what I'm talking about ??? I found the name @ for sale 20' & over but the thread I saw had pictures of the boat W/ twin MERCS on it & it DID look like a SKATER....I've got a Florida phone # but I don't want to call if I don't know for sure.........It's a good idea to know that you're talking about the same boat ...if u know what I mean.....THANX NICE SKATER but my son wants to know what that avatar boat is !!!!!!

I have a buddy trying to sell his spotless 21 Skater. Always in freshwater, always stored inside, all shiny gelcoat, never wrecked, etc. 120 mph. Twin 2.5 OS.

I don't know if he'll seperate or not, but it wouldn't hurt to ask if that's what you wanted to do.

I remember the post you are talking about. You are refering to Lightning Powerboats here in Sarasota, Florida. John from Lightning posts on here quite a bit. They said the 21 Lightning ran 119mph with twin 2.5's.

HEY JAMES E... You're right!!! That was the company I was talking about... Do you know this guy & if the boats aren't junk??? They are awful nice & the price isn't bad... Thanx you guys for the help/info !!! BTW LASERMODV... That SKATER 21 sounds nice but twin 2.5's on a 21' is a little more motor than I want/need.... LATAPOTATAS>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

The boat in my avatar is a 1988 "GMT". The boat weighs 390 lbs and was once owned/raced by Greg Foster.

I don't know him personally. I just have seen the boats in local advertisments and have read some of his posts on this sight. BMac has been by his shop and lives only a couple of minutes from him. I saw a 21 Lightning with a 2.5 in my neighborhood last year. The guy said it would run in the low 90's. It is a good looking hull that is a pop off of a 21 Skater. I have been wanting to go and see his shop. John (Lightning Powerboats) said to come on by the factory anytime. I just have been too busy with school to make it down that way. Sorry I can't help you anymore than that.
