:cheers:I am looking to install a manual jackplate, probably wont move it often at all. I am putting my 25 inch motor on my 20 transom, so I need the extra height. I am looking at a bobs manaul 5 inch, (we have used this same setup on another identical boat). I am concerned with strenght, and weight of the jackplate. What are you using??? thanks

RapidJack from HydroDynamics. Clean instalation, easy to adjust. Chuck Goodman and crew can provide extra supports if needed.

I replaced a manual 5.5" CMC with a hydraulic 5.5" CMC this year. Needed to be able to raise the jack plate in order to create enough clearance to tilt the motor far enough to beach or moor the boat places where the bottom does not drop off quickly. I went with the CMC because it is self contained. No resevoir or hoses to mount and run.

I still have the manual. It can't be more than 2 or 3 years old. PM me if you are interested.

I run a 10" manual SlideMaster jackplate. I got it because the price was great, and know a few other guys that run them that have had nothing but good luck with them. Prices VERY well.....I called and ordered mine right from Slidemaster.
