The 260 Gold coating?? What is it??

The shot blast look is ok but no where a nice as that fresh golden look of a new 2.5!!

What is it and how can it be re-produced??

The coating is called ALODINE and it can be replaced by spray can ... I think the OEM is applied with a dip and heat...

I think the 1201 is the right one, they offer clear and the gold. Make sure you use the prep on a very clean surface with no oily fingerprints !

I have beadblasted heads, cleaned with prep, and heated in oven a tad, then sprayed the gold alodine on the heads, they came out nice, but not looking like the factory gold finish.

And I assume its safe to use to re-coat the internal surfaces of the powerhead as well???
