I hate to beat a dead hourse. I searched and found lots of info. But is beter to "redo" the tanks or replace with aluminum or plastic. When you "redo" is it going back with a different epoxy or resin.

1990 21 Skater. From what I read about mine is a epoxy boat. I would like to leave it original but not if it isnt worth it. Did you redo yours?

Yup. Did mine with my friend, who does all the tanks for Skater! Seen 3 done this way so far and no problems. If your boats epoxy, could be a problem. The reason to remove all old contaminated glass is to be sure it has not spread to the hull & tunnel. I kept a chunk of glass from a 36 we did a few months back and it's still rubbery. Point being, once contaminated, it never goes back, and it spreads. Have the tanks done by Skater & it's still technically original.
