I have a 13' tunnel with large sponsons. The boat weighs about 550 lbs. It looks like a little skater. It will turn a 20 pitch 6000 rpm, but it takes forever to get on a plane.I think i need a small over the hub prop with about 19 - 21 pitch. I've tried both pitch's, but they were thru hub exhaust and its takes a long time to plane down.I put a stock 17 pitch on it and it comes out of the hole good but then turns to many rpm's. Do they make a small diamiter with this pitch that might work???? It has a 70 hp johnson..1994 model ..Thanks

I run this Ron Hill / Leading Edge blue printed 4 blade on my Stinger. You can usually find them on Ebay, works ok until Rich at Leading Edge does his magic on it, then WOW. The boat is a 13' Funcat.

What improvement did you see after having the prop worked? Acceleration, speed, etc.?

Look for a small ear merc chopper and have it rehubbed they made an 18 and a 20 you will have to raise the engine and will loose some hole shot. Aqualark do you know where I can find an aqualark I have a 1957 18 johnson I want to mount on one. Rick

Went from burning a 7000rpm hole in the water to jumping on plan. Better bow lift and a little on the top end.

What cheap props would you guys recommend I start with?

I have a 13.5' Jaguar with a 1988 Johnson 70hp standard shaft with no set back on the transom.

I was thinking a 20p, but do I try a 3 or 4 blade?

Over the hub or through?

Thanks,
