I am trying to install a mechanical trim and jack indicator on my new boat. I made a setup for my jack which I think is a Bob's. I will post pictures when I finish. The cable comes out the front and directly into the transom so doesn't show hardly at all. My problem is the trim. I am trying to figure out how the cable gets from the actuator to the boat without looking like crap. Is anyone running it through the tube that the shift and throttle go through? If so what kind of actuator are you using and where does the cable enter the cowling?

Pictures as promised sorry for the gray color. I shot them at night.
Not one response:confused: Is everybody using electric indicators? I need an idea for the trim. I want it to be a clean install and would like to see what others have done. Help please...
Thanks,
Bob

Thanks Rock. I like the SS marine actuators. The 15" mid has a much better angle than their 20". The 20" goes almost straight up so has to go over the steering.

I took my Stailness Marine actuator cable through the transome behind the jacking plate like you have done the plate, I'll post a photo over the week-end

That's what I want to do. Is it the 15" mid model because I have a 20"? It looks like the 20" has to go over the steering ram.

Looks good to me. I would like to see a picture from the side to better see the cable routing. If possable with the jack up all the way and then down all the way. Are you using the Stainless Marine actuator? It looks like it but can't quite see it.
Thanks,
Bob
